Organization De Scalene was established in 1993, to promote Science, Technology and Medical Engineering with a global interest. Scalene Engineers Private Limited was the first company that was established to design develop and manufacture Medical devices under the techno-commercial co-operation of ASKIT kft. of Hungary. The first of the products were Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring System (ABPM) and Non-Invasive Cardiac output Monitors. Scalene started independent research into cardiovascular cartography in 1993 and successfully developed the first prototype of HAEMOTRON in 1998. The result of which was first presented at the European Society of Cardiology congress in Barcelona, Spain in 1999, and later at the IEEE-CBMS, at the National Institutes of Health, USA. HAEMOTRON was commercialised in 1999 and today there are over 150 installations in about 20 countries. HAEMOTRON was renamed as HAEMOSEIS-256 in 2003.

Simultaneously with the developments in Medical engineering, Scalene also was active in defense research with the collaboration with the Ministry of Defense, Electronics Directorate, Republic of Hungary. Scalene worked on Force on Force Combat Training System (FOFTF), with MCEME in India. Global Positioning Systems (GPS) was another area that Scalene was actively participating. Scalene since entered into an agreement with BEL Multitone Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bharat Electronics Limited.

In the year 2000, Scalene Cybernetics Limited was established, with it’s research and development wing, the Centre for Advanced Research and Development (CARD). Scalene Engineers transferred all ongoing research projects to CARD.

In 2001, scalene shifted it’s operations to it’s own campus, the S-CARD campus in Bangalore. CYTOTRON research initiated by Scalene Engineers in 1996 was also transferred to CARD. In 2004 CARD produced the first prototype of CYTOTRON a 96-gun version for radiobiology application. There after three more prototypes were developed. Clinical trials were conducted on about 300 volunteer patients, in collaboration with the Institute of Aerospace Medicine, Indian Air Force, the results were remarkable. Cytotron was commercialized in July 2006. Later on, CYTOTRON models with 3-axes (288-guns) were produced and now the advance CYTOTRON device has 9-axes (864-guns). The number of axes were increased primarily to aid simultaneous targeting of multiple regions of interest in tissue regeneration and degeneration. Till date, there have been more than 30 installations in about 8 countries. Benefits of CYTOTRON will soon be available in many other countries during the years to come.

Scalene established the Scalene Energy Research Institute or SERI in 2002 with the aim of bringing about Energy Self Sufficiency and Sustainable Growth. Many years of research has finally culminated into SERIGAS-SPARSE Technology one of the most efficient biomethanization process, which is approved by the world bank. SERI developed the MIBR reactor technology, the carbon-di oxide rebreather technology, specialised refinery for gas purification, Nanoporus Molecular Capture technology for storage of Natural Gas at low volume and high pressure and the Spiral Protium Accelerated Reactor Super Enrichment or SPARSE for enriching fuels for engines in the last nine years. Based on these technologies, a 20 ton plant based on water hyacinth based Gas and Power plant was built at the S-CARD campus as a Technology Demonstrator.

To commercialise technologies developed by SERI, the Scalene Greenergy Corporation Limited (SGCL) was established in 2010 (renamed to Scalene Energy Water Corporation Limited). SEWCL is already constructing many large and mini Organic Natural Gas and Power plant for many customers in different parts of the world.
